Proposed Hard Federation Marden Bridge Middle School and Valley Gardens Middle School

A formal public consultation is now open regarding the proposed Hard Federation of Valley Gardens Middle School and Marden Bridge middle school.

The governing bodies are committed to seeking and considering the views of all stakeholders likely to be affected by the proposal, including parents and carers, staff, pupils, trade unions, partner schools, the Local Authority and the wider community.

Y5 Enjoy STEM roadshow! What STEM job could you explore?

Y5 had a wonderful afternoon with Harry, Jody and Alex exploring the amazing scientific world of materials!

Learning about Carbon fibre, Kevlar, smart materials and even Formula 1 race cars meant that we could start to think about STEM careers... With engineering options in both apprenticeships and university, there's loads of opportunities for pupils who like thinking creatively to solve problems.

KS3 Flag Football Team battle to incredible 3rd place finish

Outstanding effort from our KS3 Flag Football team who've battled their way through wind and rain over 5 weeks to finish an incredible 3rd in the North East Vikings League.
Finishing the day in style with an overtime, Touchdown Shootout win over Thorp Academy, these players have impressed with their grit and determination all the way through.

Year 5 visit Hillheads Community Church What does it mean to belong?

As part of their Life Studies curriculum, Year 5 visited Hillheads Community Church this week. We have been considering what it means to belong and wanted to ask about how Christians feel about belonging to the church.

As always, Marshall and his group of volunteers, made us all feel very welcome and the children came away with lots of questions to ask in their next lesson.
