Year 5 Introduction to the world of work Blockbusters!

I doubt many of you will be old enough to remember Blockbusters, the gameshow, but I loved it! I was over the moon when the World of Work team at North Tyneside Learning Trust created a game for Year 5s based on the gameshow and built around the careers curriculum.

This half term, each Year 5 class had a lesson where they played the game and found out lots about different jobs.

At Marden Bridge, we believe it is never too early to think about the future so ...... "I'll have a "P" please Bob"!

Y7 Lego Engineering Building cars and all things STEM

This half term, our Year 7 pupils were lucky enough to spend a lesson with the NERAP team from our local universities. They explored STEM careers and took a closer look at engineering through the use of Lego. They tried their hand at designing, building and racing their own vehicles in a fun competition. It is never too early to consider the future and this session was a great way to kick off the year for Year 7.

London 2026 Highlights

We enjoyed a brilliant and very busy Arts trip to London at the start of October!

The Tate Modern, the Globe, the West End, St Paul's Cathedral, Harry Potter World... what an amazing trip!

Y8 Football First win of the season.

An excellent result for our Y8 boys tonight who beat St Thomas More 3-2 in a very close game. Goals from Otis, Jack and Max saw us come from behind to take the points.

Well done all!
